Food Pantry
Edgewater United Methodist Church is honored to provide a weekly food pantry to residents of Edgewater struggling to put food on their tables.

The Pantry is open most Saturdays from 8:30-11:30 am.

For November and December, the pantry will be closed on:

November 29

December 13

Volunteer Training:
We are always adding new volunteers into our rotation. We offer a training prior to scheduling a new volunteer. Contact the church office to volunteer.

We need volunteers to:

  • drive their personal vehicles (trucks, large SUVs) to the Daytona area on Thursdays to pick up fresh food.
  • sort and organize pantry items on Thursdays upon return from Daytona
  • Prepare and pack the week’s grocery bags on Friday mornings
  • greet and assist pantry patrons with paperwork on Saturday mornings
  • Pack and distribute bags on Saturday mornings
  • Contact admin@edgewaterunitedmethodist.org with questions about volunteering.
Donations

We accept donations of unexpired, unopened foods directly at the pantry (in the back of the church parking lot) on Fridays between 8:30-10:30 AM.

Please note: Because of our community partnerships, we can stretch a dollar quite far! Monetary gifts are preferred so that we can purchase (for greatly reduced prices) the items that our pantry guests need the most.

Adopt a Family!

Would you consider donating $10 a week so that we might feed a family of 4? Your donation will go directly to providing 2-3 whole meals for a family.

Give Now!

You can give one time, or set up a recurring payment through our new online giving program. Click here to donate.

We also accept monetary donations via check made out to “Edgewater UMC” with the memo line: Food Pantry.

100% of food pantry donations go directly to the food pantry.

Thank you for your support of this ministry!
